Overview

The WIP Report (NEW) gives users a detailed overview of live jobs, their quoted and actual values, labour effort, material costs, and invoicing status. It’s ideal for project and finance teams monitoring ongoing job health and profitability.

Key Fields in the Report

  • Status – The current status of the job (e.g. WIP).

  • Client / Site / Contact – Client and job location details.

  • Department – The division responsible for the job.

  • Quote # / Responsible Staff / Purchase Order – Quote and approval details.

  • Description – Brief job summary.

  • Quote Value – Original estimated value.

  • Value – Total job value to date.

  • Labour Cost / Hrs / Material Cost – Cost breakdowns.

  • Profit / Loss – Difference between earned value and actual spend.

  • Invoice Amount – What has been billed so far.

  • Receipts – Items or services received.

  • Scheduled Completion / Job Start Date – Timeline details.

  • WIP Amount – Remaining value of unbilled work.


How to Use This Report

  1. Filter by Department

    • Select your department to view jobs you're responsible for.

  2. Track Financial Health

    • Use Profit / Loss and WIP Amount to identify underperforming jobs.

  3. Review Job Progress

    • Compare Quote Value, Labour Hrs, and Invoice Amount to understand progress and billing status.

  4. Prepare for Invoicing or Review

    • Check if WIP values and costs justify invoicing or require internal escalation.
