Use this when a quoted line is a number of people across a number of shifts, not only a number of hours. For example, 4 people across 6 shifts.
Go to Settings → Job / Project Settings.
Turn on Extra Multiplier to show Count on new project quotes.
Turn on Shifts Multiplier to show Shifts.
Leave Count or Shifts blank and it is treated as 1. A 1 is not printed. Quotes you have already built stay as they are. The columns stay hidden until you turn them on.
