Day Shift Detection Settings

Updated over a month ago

Overview

If your workshop uses the Timesheet Kiosk, you can now define what counts as a day shift so shifts flow correctly into Staff Times. These settings allow you to control how SprintSuite detects day vs night shifts based on the times you set.

1. Enable Day Shift Detection

Go to the Settings Menu and then go to the Timesheets tab.

Then scroll down to Shift Detection.

Turn this on to activate day-shift classification.
You’ll then set your Day Shift Start and Day Shift End times (e.g., 06:00–18:00).

2. Detection Modes

Choose how a shift must fit into the day window:

  • Whole shift in window (AND) – Entire shift must fall within the window.

  • Any overlap (OR) – Any part of the shift overlaps the window.

  • Shift start within window – Only the start time must fall inside.

  • Shift end within window – Only the end time must fall inside.

3. Save Your Settings

After choosing your window and detection mode, click Save Day Window.

Why Use This?

This ensures kiosk shifts are classified correctly, reducing manual corrections and improving accuracy across Staff Times and reporting.
