This article explains how to delete, view, and restore quote line items after a project plan has been converted from a quote, and how roles and permissions control access to this feature.
🔍 Overview
Once a Project Quote has been converted into a Project Plan, you can now continue to manage quote line items without impacting financial accuracy. This includes deleting unnecessary items, viewing deleted items, and restoring them if required.
Costs already applied to deleted items (such as labour, purchases, or receipts) will continue to be reflected in the project budget.
🗑️ Deleting Quote Line Items After Conversion
You can delete quote line items even after the project plan has been created from the quote.
How to delete a line item
Open the relevant Project
Navigate to the Project Quote
Locate the line item you wish to remove
Click the Delete (🗑️) icon
👀 Viewing Deleted Line Items
You can choose to view deleted items for reference or auditing purposes.

Show Deleted behaviour
Deleted items will only appear when Show Deleted is enabled if costs exist against the line item
Costs may include:
Labour
Purchases
Receipts
Important notes
Deleted items with costs:
Will appear when Show Deleted is enabled
Will remain included in the project budget
Deleted items with no costs:
Are removed from the quote value
Will not appear when Show Deleted is enabled
♻️ Restoring Deleted Line Items
If required, deleted line items can be restored.
How to restore a line item
Enable Show Deleted in the Project Quote or Manage Project Plan tab
Locate the deleted line item
Click the Restore (🔄) icon
The line item will be reinstated and behave as an active item again.
🔐 Roles & Permissions
Access to deleting and restoring quote line items is controlled by roles and permissions.
Default access
Super Admin users have access by default
Granting access to other users
Go to Settings > Roles & Permissions
Select the relevant role
Under Project Permissions, enable:
