Exporting a Custom Job Card PDF

SprintSuite allows you to customise your Job Card PDF before exporting, giving you complete control over the information included for your clients, contractors, or internal teams.

Choose exactly which fields to display, add notes or comments, and generate a professional PDF tailored to each job. Your export preferences are automatically saved, making future exports faster and more consistent.


Where Can I Export a Job Card?

You can export a Job Card from two locations.

Option 1: From the Job Details Page

  1. Open the required Job.

  2. Click Edit Details.

  3. Click Actions>Job Card.


Option 2: From Within the Job

  1. Open the required Job.

  2. Click Job Card (located next to the Edit Details button).

  3. The Export Job Card window will open.

Tip: Both options open the same Export Job Card window and provide the same functionality.


Customising Your Job Card

Before exporting, the Export Job Card window allows you to choose exactly what information will appear in the PDF.


Select the Fields to Include

The left-hand panel displays all available Job Card fields.

Simply tick the fields you want included in the PDF and untick those you don't.

Examples include:

  • Job / Project ID

  • Client

  • Status

  • Title

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Job Phase

  • Location

  • Client Contact

  • Responsible Staff

  • Progress

  • Description

  • Brief Description (Staff Portal)

  • Purchase Order Numbers

  • PO Requestor Name

  • Budgeted Hours

  • Selected Departments

  • Primary Department

  • Custom Fields

  • Notes

  • Job Type

Only the selected fields will appear on the exported Job Card.


Select All Fields

Click Select all to quickly include every available field in the Job Card.


Reset Selection

If you've made temporary changes, click Reset selection to restore your previously saved export preferences.


Add Notes / Comments

Use the Add notes / comments section to include additional information on the exported Job Card.

This is useful for:

  • Customer instructions

  • Site access information

  • Safety reminders

  • Additional work requirements

  • Internal handover notes

  • General comments

Your notes will appear at the end of the exported PDF.


Export the PDF

Once you've finished customising the Job Card:

  1. Review the selected fields.

  2. Add any notes or comments if required.

  3. Click Export Job Card.

Your customised Job Card PDF will be generated and downloaded.


Saved Preferences

SprintSuite automatically remembers your export preferences.

The following are saved:

  • Selected fields

  • Field order

  • Notes and comments

This means you won't need to configure the Job Card every time you export it.

Note: You can change your selections or notes at any time before exporting.


Refreshed PDF Design

Job Card PDFs have been updated with SprintSuite's latest branding and colours, providing a cleaner and more professional appearance.

Coming Soon: If your organisation has company branding configured, exported Job Cards will automatically use your company's branding colours, giving your documents a more personalised and professional look.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I export a Job Card from more than one place?

Yes. You can export a Job Card from either:

  • Edit Details using the Export Job Card button.

  • Job Card, located next to the Edit Details button.

Both options open the same export window.


Can I choose what appears on the Job Card?

Yes. Simply tick or untick the fields before exporting to include only the information you want to share.


Will SprintSuite remember my selections?

Yes. Your selected fields, field order, and notes/comments are automatically saved and reused the next time you export a Job Card.


What does Reset Selection do?

Reset Selection restores your saved export preferences if you've made temporary changes during your current export.


Can I add extra notes for my client?

Yes. Use the Add notes / comments section to include additional information that is specific to that Job Card export.
