✨ Overview

The Project Quote tab now includes a CSV Import feature that allows you to upload a spreadsheet of quote item data and automatically build your quote structure.

When a CSV is uploaded, SprintSuite will create the corresponding Deliverables, Tasks, Resources, and other tier items within the quote β€” saving significant time when creating large or complex quotes.

πŸ”Ž Access the Feature

  1. Open a Project

  2. Navigate to the Quote tab

  3. Click the Upload CSV button

  4. Select CSV Import to open the upload window


🧾 Prepare Your CSV File

To ensure a smooth import:

  • Download the sample CSV Template

  • Enter your quote item data using the template format

Typical required columns include:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Quantity

  • Units

  • Cost Rate

  • Charge Out Rate

  • Discount

  • Margin

  • Budget Type (Labour / Asset / Inventory / Misc)

  • Billable


⬆️ Import Your File

  1. Upload your CSV

  2. The system validates the file and column headers

  3. Review any validation messages or errors

  4. Confirm the import to process the file

  5. Imported items appear instantly in the quote table


🧩 After Import

  • Imported items can be edited individually at any time

  • Hierarchy is preserved:

    • Tier 1 β†’ Tier 2 β†’ Tier 3 β†’ Tier 4

  • The Quote Dashboard updates automatically

  • You can continue adding, editing, or removing items as needed

Your CSV must meet the following criteria:

  • File format: .CSV

  • First row must contain column headers

  • Data must follow the template structure

  • Supported date formats:

    • YYYY-MM-DD

    • DD/MM/YYYY

  • Numeric fields (rates, quantities, markup) must contain valid numbers


⚠️ Error Handling

If issues are detected during upload:

  • Incorrect headers β†’ error message displayed

  • Missing required fields β†’ flagged during validation

  • Invalid data formats β†’ row numbers provided for easy fixing

After correcting the issues, simply re-upload the file.
