Overview
SprintSuite allows you to create and reuse Roster Templates directly from the Staff Scheduler and apply them when building labour quotes.
This is ideal for quoting recurring roster-based work such as shutdowns, maintenance projects, field service, and labour hire.
Roster templates can be applied to any labour line item within your quote, including:
Deliverables
Tasks
Resources
This gives you flexibility based on how your quote is structured.
Step 1: Create Your Roster in the Staff Scheduler
Before using a roster in a quote, youβll first need to create and save your roster in the Staff Scheduler.
When setting up your roster, you can define:
Trade (e.g. Electrician, Boilermaker, Supervisor)
Number of staff/trades required
Roster start and end dates
Roster patterns (e.g. 14/7, 7/7, 2/1)
Shift types (e.g. Day, Night, R&R)
Hours per shift
Number of days per block
Repeat roster swings/cycles as needed
Multiple roster blocks and repeating cycles
Once complete, save your roster as a Roster Template.
Step 2: Apply a Roster Template in a Quote
When creating or editing a project quote:
Open your quote
Add or edit a labour line item under a:
Deliverable
Task
Resource
Select your Labour Type
Click Apply Roster Template
Select one of your saved templates from the Staff Scheduler
SprintSuite will automatically load the roster structure into your quote.
Step 3: Automatic Labour Costing
If your labour rates have been configured in SprintSuite, the system will automatically calculate labour costs based on:
Selected trade
Number of staff required
Shift hours
Roster pattern
Duration of the roster
This helps create accurate labour quotes faster.
