What are Tags used for?

Tags are used for employee-specific rules or exceptions.

For example, tags can help identify apprentices, leading hands, salaried employees, or employees who should be included or excluded from certain rules.

What are Locations used for?

Locations can be used to group employees by business location, workshop, field team, state, department, or other structure.

Locations can also be used for reporting and accounting purposes.

What are Rule Sets?

Rule Sets automate payroll logic.

They can be used for rules such as:

  • Overtime

  • Break deductions

  • Site allowances

  • Night shift allowances

  • Training

  • Travel

  • Attendance allowances

  • Public holiday handling

  • Salary overtime rules

Rules should be tested before go-live to confirm the payroll outcome is correct.
