Induction courses are slide-based training built on the web and completed in the app. Completions are recorded automatically and show in Reports.

Enter the Course title.
Click Add slide and choose a slide type. Drag slides to reorder.

Click Save course. You need a title and at least one slide.

Slide types
Type | What it holds | What the worker must do |
Content | Text plus optional images or video, in one of four layouts | View it, and watch any required video to the end |
Cards | Intro text and tappable cards, each with its own heading, body and media | Open every card before Next unlocks |
Quiz | Optional intro plus comprehension questions | Answer every question correctly |
Quiz questions use the same four types as posts. There's no percentage pass mark. Workers retry until each answer is right, and passed questions stay passed.
Course settings
Setting | What it does |
Learner must view every slide | Completion needs every slide viewed. On by default. |
Learner must pass every quiz | Completion needs every question passed. On by default. |
Learner must watch videos to the end | Next stays locked until slide videos finish. Skipping ahead doesn't count. On by default. |
Mandatory on first login | The course can block the app on first login |
Publish from / Hide after | The course's visibility window. Overrides the Inductions category default. |
Locations | Limits who sees it when Limit Inductions by location is on. Empty means all locations. |
Mobile testers | Named people can open the course on their phone before it goes live |
To apply the same completion rules to several courses, click Bulk edit, select the courses, set each rule to On, Off or No change, then Apply.
Going live
There's no separate Publish button. A saved course appears once its Publish from time has passed and disappears at Hide after. If neither is set on the course or the Inductions category, it's live as soon as it's saved.
What workers see
Workers open Inductions in the app and see a grid of courses with progress, such as 2/5. Finished courses show Done.
Inside a course, the header shows Slide N of M. Locked steps show hints like Open all cards to continue or Watch the video to continue.
On the last slide, Finish checks the completion rules. Anything outstanding is listed with a link to jump back.
When everything is met, they confirm with Finish course and see Course completed.
Reaching the last slide doesn't complete a course on its own. Workers who leave part-way resume at the last slide they viewed.
